Thomson and the ‘Treasures of Egypt’

From 14th February, Fuenlabrada will be hosting the temporary exhibition ‘Treasures of Egypt’, an impressive didactic and experiential exhibition on the civilisation of the Pharaohs, designed to bring the magic of Ancient Egypt to the people of Fuenlabrada and all its neighbours.


The exhibition will be held at the Centro de Arte Tomás y Valiente, organised by the Patronato de Cultura de Fuenlabrada with the collaboration of the Fundación Sophia, a non-profit organisation that has handcrafted the exhibition. Admission is free and it will be open until the 29th of June 2025, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11 to 14h and from 17 to 21h. The exhibition includes reproductions of works of art, such as the statue of Pharaoh Khafre, the original of which is in the Cairo Museum, a statue of Ramses II from Luxor, a statue of Horus Falcon from Edfu and part of the burial chamber treasures of Tutankhamun; recreations of temple pylons and parts of tombs; dioramas such as a scene of mummifying priests or the chapel of Sekhmet, or that of Osiris; a collection of Egyptian Playmobil pieces; an impressive audiovisual projection on synchronised monitors of the ‘Egyptian Cosmovision and the gift of the Nile’, sponsored by Thomson Electronic; workshops and guided tours to bring the Nile civilisation closer to schools, those interested in this fascinating civilisation and the general public.

The exhibition also includes an impressive audiovisual projection on synchronised screens, sponsored by THOMSON. It features the short film “Egypt, the Gift of the Nile”
